NORMAN. Henry I. 1100-1135. AR Penny (19mm, 1.22 g, 12h). Annulets type (BMC i). Lundonia (London) mint; Wulfweard, moneyer. Struck circa 1100-1102. + HNRI RE+ I, crowned facing bust; annulets flanking / + PVLEPORD ON NE, cross fleurée, annulet at center; in each quarter, inward-facing pile surmounted by trefoil. Andrew p. 312 = BMC 11 var. (obv. legend, same rev. die); SCBI –; North 857; SCBC 1263. Good VF, lightly toned, minor deposits on the reverse. Very rare and unusual rendition of the mint signature.
