Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right / Eagle standing facing, head turned left; D-E on either side of eagle's head, star between legs. Prieur 269 var. EF, obverse a little porous. This variety not listed by Prieur. Unique? ($400)

The issues Prieur 267-270 with linear dashes in the upper portion of the eagles wings form a distinct group. Prieur records a variety that is draped and cuirassed, but it is seen from behind while this example is seen from the front.
