Aemilian. AD 253. Antoninianus (Silver, 3.74 g 12). IMP CAES AEMILIANVS P F AVG Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Aemilian to right. Rev. APOL CONSERVAT Apollo, nude, standing left, holding laurel branch in his right hand and resting his left on a lyre set on a rock to the right. Cf. Cohen 5 (but APOLL in error) = RIC p. 196 note). Hunter 3. A very rare variety. Very minor metal fault on obverse, otherwise, extremely fine.
