Pautalia, Thrace. Caracalla. 198-217. Tetrassarion (Bronze, 28mm, 16.74 g 1), c. 212-217. ΑΥΤ Κ Μ ΑΥ CΕΥ ΑΝΤΩΝΕΙΝΟC Laureate head of Caracalla to right. Rev. ΟΥΛΠΙΑC ΠΑΥΤΑΛΙΑC Agathodaemon serpent, quadruply coiled to left and with an elaborate, three-part, tail. Ruzicka 690 (but the serpent is bearded). A lovely coin with a splendid green and brown patina. Extremely fine.
