KINGS of MACEDON. Philip III Arrhidaios. 323-317 BC. AV Stater (17mm, 8.57 g, 7h). Susa mint. Struck under Koinos, circa 322-320 BC. Head of Athena right, wearing crested Attic helmet decorated with serpent, and necklace / ΦΙΛΙΠΠO[Y] BA-ΣIΛEΩΣ, Nike standing left, holding wreath in extended right hand and cradling stylis in left arm; no control marks(?). Künker 111, lot 6162 (same dies); otherwise unpublished, but see CNG 85, lot 298 for stater from the same obverse die. EF, flan flaw on helmet.
