SICILY, Naxos. Circa 461-430 BC. AR Litra (11mm, 0.72 g, 12h). Head of Dionysos right, wearing ivy wreath / Grape bunch on vine; leaf hanging at each side, leaf to lower right, N-A-[X-I] around. Cahn 63 (V46/R54); Campana 9a; Rizzo –; SNG ANS –; SNG Lloyd –; SNG München –. Good VF, toned, find patina, minor porosity. Fine style. Extremely rare issue, only three examples known to Cahn.
