THESSALY, Skotussa. Early to mid 4th century BC. Æ Dichalkon (19.5mm, 5.83 g, 2h). Kantharos with high handles, border of dots / Σ-K above, O-T retrograde below, club downwards, crossed with uncertain object (another, shorter club, torch or thymiaterion?); all in slightly concave field. SNG Morcom 951 (as ‘uncertain Western mint’); see also Nomos 4, 1338 and Gorny & Mosch 200 (10 October 2011) 1540 (both from the same pair of dies). VF, dark green patina; some scattered pitting and roughness, mostly on the obverse; rare.
