(624.1) THESSALY, Pharkadon. 3rd quarter of the 4th century BC. Æ Dichalkon (16.5mm, 2.32 g, 11h). Horse grazing r., border of dots / ΦAK-AΔO (sic) in two lines, the second part below the first, crescent, its horns pointing upwards. This rev. arrangement not found in the references consulted. Good Fine, dark green patina; obv. slightly off centre.


(624.2) THESSALY, Pharkadon. 3rd quarter of the 4th century BC. Æ Dichalkon (17mm, 3.54 g, 6h). Horse grazing r., border of dots / ΦAPKAΔ-ИΩΙИΟ in two lines, the second one above the first, crescent with its horns pointing downwards; inside, star with eight rays. See CNG e-sale 244 (10 November 2010) 87. Near VF, dark green patina; metal flaw above horse’s back on the obverse.

Horse grazing r., border of dots / ΦAPKA-[Δ]ONION in two lines, the second one below the first, crescent, its horns pointing downwards; inside, star of six rays. BMC p. 42, 9, pl. IX, 5. Near VF, green patina; horse’s head partly flat struck; linear die flaw above the crescent on the reverse.
