            Valentinian I. AD 364-375. AV Solidus (23mm, 4.42 g, 6h). Nicomedia mint, 2nd officina. Struck AD 364-365. Rosette-diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Valens standing facing, head right, holding labarum and Victory; SMNB. RIC IX 2b var (officina, no pellet); Depeyrot 12/1. VF, scratches on obverse, graffiti ‘X’ and ‘IV’ on reverse. The officina number appears to be engraved over an earlier one.
