CILICIA, Seleucia ad Calycadnum. Severus Alexander. AD 222-235. Æ (31mm, 14.04 g, 6h). Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust right; c/m: annulet within Δ / Dionysus, holding thyrsus and animal skin, driving biga of panthers right; to left, maenads advancing right; to right, Silenus kneeling left. Apparently unpublished (but cf. SNG Pfälzer 1054 for rev. type on a coin of Caracalla); for c/m: Howgego 670. Near VF, earthen dark green patina, areas of light pitting. Extremely rare.
