SICILY, Syracuse. Dionysios I. 405-367 BC. AR Drachm (17mm, 4.10 g, 2h). Unsigned dies in the style of Eukleidas. Struck circa 405 BC. Helmeted head of Athena facing slightly left; four dolphins around / The hero Leukaspis, holding shield and spear, advancing right; altar in background; to right, forepart of ram lying on its back left. Boehringer, Münzprägungen pl. II. 17; SNG ANS 309-10 (same obv. die). VF, lightly toned around devices, overstruck. Good metal. Rare.
