Dated cyclical year 10-4 (1903). “zào shěng tiān fèng guǐ kù píng qī qián èr fēn mǎo,” (Made in Fèngtiān province/guǐ [cyclical date stem]/Treasury scales equal to 7 qián and 2 fēn/mǎo [cyclical date branch]) in Hànzì, “bǎo yuán guāng xù,” (Valuable yuán of Guāngxù) in Hànzì around “fèng bǎo,” in Manchu script / FUNG – TIEN PROVINCE/(rosette) 7 MACE AND 2 CANDAREENS (rosette), flying imperial dragon facing, coiled leftward around fireball and surrounded by stylized clouds. L&M 482; Kann 251; KM (Yeoman) 92. In NGC slab graded MS 62, lightly toned, underlying luster.
