SASANIAN KINGS. Yazdgird (Yazdgard) I. AD 399-420. AR Drachm (25mm, 4.17 g, 3h). DA for ST (Darabgird) mint. Bust right on floral ornament, wearing mural crown with frontal crescent and korymbos / Fire altar with ribbons; flanked by two attendants; mint signature flanking flames flames; “hlpy” on altar shaft. SNS type Ib2 (Yazdgard I)/3 (Bahram IV), A23 (same obv. die); Göbl type I/1; M. I. Mochiri, "Petite liste de quelques ateliers Sassanides inédits," Iran XXXIV, 19; Paruck -; Saeedi -; CNG 75, 738 (same dies). EF, toned. Very rare hybrid issue.
