Three-quarter facing head of Athena, wearing triple crested helmet; spear left, shield right / FA-R-SAL, Thessalian horseman galloping right, holding a whip above his head; behind him walks a second warrior carrying a whip over his shoulder. SNG Copenhagen 232-233 var. (spacing of ethnic); BMC Thessaly pg. 45, 21; Laffaille -; Weber 2915 var. (spacing of ethnic). Near EF, dark brown, almost black, patina with some orangish brown highlights around the devices. Attractive. ($500)
