The Mardin hoard: Islamic countermarks on Byantine folles type 23. Near VF, dark green and brown patina under a layer of earthen deposits.
The authors of The Mardin hoard tentatively assign this countermark to the Begtimurid Badr al-Din Aqsunqur (AH 589-594 / AD 1193-1197).
