Cnaeus Pompeius Magnus (Pompey the Great). 49-48 BC. AR Denarius (3.71 g, 3h). Spanish mint. Bare head right / Pietas standing left, holding palm frond and scepter. Crawford 477/1b; CRI 232a; Sydenham 1042; RSC 14; Triton X, lot 539 (same obv. die). Good VF, lightly toned, two shallow tests cuts on edge, reverse slightly off center as usual. Well struck for issue.
