THESSALY, Pharsalos. Late 5th-mid 4th century BC. Æ 20mm (8.30 g, 6h). Helmeted head of Athena facing slightly left; flanked by spear and shield / Thessalian cavalryman riding right, holding mace overhead; behind, footman walking right, holding mace. Lavva 346 (V177/R246); Rogers 506-7 var. (orientation of ethnic); SNG Copenhagen 232 var. (same); SNG Evelpidis 1608 (same dies). Good VF, dark green-brown patina. Well struck on a broad flan.
