INDIA, Kushan Empire. Huvishka. Circa AD 152-192. AV Quarter Dinar (1.97 g, 12h). Mint I (A). 3rd emission. [ÞAO]NA[NOÞA]-O OOH[ÞK], nimbate, crowned, and diademed bust left on clouds, holding mace sceptre in raised right hand and filleted spear over left shoulder / MAΟ, Mao, diademed, lunar "horns" at shoulders, standing facing, head left, right hand extended in benedictional gesture and holding scepter in left; tamgha to left. MK 278 (O1/R1); cf. Donum Burns 259 (same rev. die). Good VF, minor traces of encrustation. Extremely rare, the third example of this reverse type known, and the only one not in a public collection.
