SICILY, Syracuse. Second Democracy. 466-405 BC. AR Tetradrachm (17.16 g, 1h). Struck circa 415-405 BC. Charioteer, holding kentron in right hand and reins in both, driving fast quadriga left; above, Nike flying right, crowning charioteer with open wreath; shell in exergue / Diademed head of Arethusa left, wearing necklace, hair in band and radiating above; Σ[VPAKOΣION] above, four dolphins around. Tudeer 12 (V5/R9); SNG ANS 254 (same rev. die); BMC 143 (same dies); Jameson 791 (same dies). Good VF, toned.
