ETRURIA, Populonia. 3rd century BC. AR 5 Asses (3.30 g). Head of Turms left, wearing winged petasos; Λ (mark of value) to right / Blank. Vecchi I 1-5 var. (unlisted obv. die); HN Italy 123; SNG ANS -; SNG France 53; SNG Lloyd -; SNG Copenhagen 40; BMC 31. Good VF, toned. Extremely rare, only 12 examples recorded by Vecchi, nine of which are in museums.
