COIN STORAGE. Mahogany Coin Cabinet. Early-mid 19th century. Tall coin cabinet with two doors and twenty-two drawers each with hand-carved bone handles. Nineteen drawers have six-hundred and sixty-seven spaces for individual coins, most with lining remaining, with diameters ranging from 25mm to 38mm. Three additional drawers with a depth of 25mm allow for storage of larger items. “W R” engraved on the top of each door. Small ivory inlay with the number “3” on left door. Single key remaining. Overall dimensions: 27.2cm x 28.0cm x 34.9cm. Attractive, with some minor scratches and cracks in the veneer. Hinges on doors appear to have been changed recently.
