Laureate head of bearded Janus; no mark of value below; all on a raised disk / Prow of galley right; I (mark of value) above; all on a raised disk. Crawford 35/1; Thurlow & Vecchi 51a; Haeberlin pl. 14-16, 4. VF, thick green find patina, traces of deposits.

Haeberlin has estimated that Thurlow & Vecchi 51, with mark of value below head of Janus, is about twice as common as 51a, with no mark of value below.
