ATTICA, Athens. Circa 165-42 BC. AR Tetradrachm (16.85 g, 11h). New Style coinage. Mened-, Epigeno-, and Alexa-, magistrates. Struck 135/4 BC. Helmeted head of Athena right / Owl standing right, head facing, on amphora; magistrates’ names in fields; to left, Asklepios standing left, holding serpent-entwined staff; K on amphora, ΣΦ below; all within wreath. Thompson 355a (same dies); BMC 448 (same dies). Near EF, toned, a couple minor die breaks on reverse.
