SICILY, Syracuse. Dionysios I. 405-367 BC. Æ Hemilitron (3.93 g, 4h). Obverse die signed by the artist Phry(gillos). Struck circa 405-400 BC. Head of Arethusa left, hair in sphendone; ΦP[Y] behind / Wheel of four spokes; dolphins in lower quarters. Cf. Boehringer, Münzprägungen pl. III, 25; CNS 19 fr 4/2; Favorito type 75 (c. 425-420 BC); SNG ANS -. VF, black patina, a little rough. Rare.
