HИKOЛAЙ II ИMПEPATOPЪ И CAMOДEPЖEЦЪ BCEPOCC., head left / PУБЛЬ 1901 Г. in exergue, crowned double-headed imperial eagle facing with wings displayed, holding scepter and orb; coat-of-arms of Moskva framed by Order of St. Andrei Первозванного (the First Called) on breast; arms of Kazan, Astrakhan, and Novosibirsk on right wing, Kingdom of Poland, Crimea, and Grand Duchy of Finland on left; above, filleted imperial crown. On edge: ЧИCTAГO CEPEБPA 4 ЗOЛOTHИKA 21 ДOЛEЙ (Ф•З). Bitkin 53; Severin 4093; Uzdenikov 2117. NGC photo graded PF 64, choice proof with fully frosted bust. An original patina gives this coin a museum-quality appearance. A wonderful type coin.
