AЛEKCAHДPЪ ПEPBЫЙ Б . M . ИMПEPATOPЬ BCEPOC., head of Aleksandr I Pavlovich right; H. GUBE F. on truncation of neck; below head, laurel-entwined sword right; above, radiant eye of God / БOPOДИHO 26 ABГУС. 1812 Г. OTKPЫTЬ 26 ABГУС. 1839 Г., 1 PУБЛЬ in exergue, Monument to the Russian Dead at Borodino: octagonal column, surmounted by gilded angled sphere and cross, set on Gothic-style octagonal pedestal; all set on three-tiered base. Grained edge. Bitkin 895; Severin 3303; Uzdenikov 4192. NGC photo graded MS 65, wonderfully toned, possessing one of the most beautiful colorations of any coin in this collection. Bitikin lists this coin with an “R” rating.
