Dated 1735. : Б • M • AHHA • IMПEPATPIЦA • ICAMOДEPЖEЦA • BCEPOCICKAЯ, crowned and cuirassed bust right; eight pearls in hair / MOHETA P(OУ)БЛЬ 1735, crowned double-headed imperial eagle facing with wings displayed, holding scepter and orb; coat-of-arms of Moskva framed by Order of St. Andrei Первозванного (the First Called) on breast; above, imperial crown; no stops in legend. On edge: chain stitch. Cf. Bitkin 122/120 (obv./rev.); cf. Severin 1209; Uzdenikov 723. NGC photo graded AU 58, a virtually mint state example and well struck. The so-called “Horse Face” portrait. The exact type is not pictured in Bitkin and may be a rarer type.
