CAESAR AVGVSTVS DIVI F PATER PATRIAE, laureate head right / PONTIF MAXIM, Livia, as Pax, seated right, holding and leaning on scepter in right hand, olive branch in left. RIC I 220; Lyon 94; RSC 223; BMCRE 545-6; BN 1693-4. Near EF, toned. Rare.


Tiberius used this issue as the principal model for his own denarius, conventionally known as the "Tribute Penny."
