PTOLEMAIC KINGS of EGYPT. Ptolemy I Soter. 305-282 BC. AR Tetradrachm (15.62 g, 1h). Ptolemaic standard. Alexandreia mint. Struck in the name of Alexander III of Macedon, 305-298/7 BC. Diademed head of the deified Alexander right, wearing elephant skin headdress / Athena Alkidemos advancing right; monogram to inner left; to right, monogram and eagle standing right on thunderbolt. Svoronos 161; Jenkins, Early group b; SNG Copenhagen 24 (same obv. die). Near EF, toned, light scratches under tone, test mark on cheek.
