SICILY, Syracuse. Agathokles. 317-289 BC. AR Tetradrachm (17.12 g, 5h). Struck circa 317-310 BC. Wreathed head of Arethusa left, surrounded by three dolphins; FI below neck / Charioteer driving quadriga left; triskeles above, monogram in exergue. Ierardi 68 (O12/R44); SNG ANS 640 (same obv. die); McClean 2817 (same obv. die); Hirsch 662 (same obv. die). EF, attractive iridescent toning, faint mark on cheek. Well struck on a broad flan.
