Aelius. Caesar, AD 136-138. Æ Sestertius (26.69 g, 6h). Rome mint. Struck AD 137. Bare-headed and draped bust right, seen from the front / Concordia seated left, feet on footstool, holding patera and leaning arm on cornucopia set on seat. RIC II 1057 var. (Aelius seen from back); Banti 6. Good VF, brown patina, some porosity. Wonderful portrait. Extremely rare obverse variety, the only other recorded example comes from Naville II (12 June 1922), lot 779.
