Anonymous. 280-276 BC. AR Didrachm (7.78 g, 3h). Metapontum(?) mint. Helmeted head of Mars left; oak-spray behind / Horse’s head right on base inscribed ROMANO; stalk of grain behind. Crawford 13/1; Burnett 17 (OC/R11); Sydenham 1; RSC 4. VF, light gray and gold toning. Both sides are well centered. Struck on a broad flan. Clear acorn behind head. Outstanding.
