Head of hero (Alexander or Seleukos?) right, wearing helmet covered with panther skin and adorned with the ear and horns of a bull / VAΣIΛEΩV ΣEΛEYKOV (sic), Nike standing right, holding in both hands a wreath that she places on trophy to right; monogram to lower left, monogram in lower middle field. Marest-Caffey Group 5, C2 (A2/P1). For prototype: cf. SC 173.4; cf. HGC 9, 20. Lightly toned, a touch off center. EF. Well struck with fresh dies and exceptional detail.
