Draped and cuirassed bust facing, wearing plumed helmet and holding cross / Cross potent set on two steps; Є//CONOB. DOC 1a; MIB 1a; SB 729. A couple minor areas of weakness, pair of scratches on reverse, some deposits. Good VF.

Desirable early issue of Heraclius whose chronology was confirmed by the 1947 Bakirkoy hoard where a single solidus of this issue was found within a hoard of Phocas solidi.
