THRACE, Deultum. Philip I. AD 244-249. Æ Diassarion (17mm, 2.86 g, 1h). Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind / Cult object (beehive?) set on base with small temple façade. Draganov, Deultum 1791 (O165/R625); Jurukova, Deultum 452; RPC VIII Online 48369; Varbanov 3040. Red-brown surfaces, roughness. VF. Very rare, only four known to RPC.

The reverse of this type has been variously described as: Fountain of Meta Sudans (Draganov), Beehive on temple (Jurukova), and Cult object on temple (RPC). Its exact symbolism remain a mystery.
