MYSIA, Kyzikos. Circa 550-450 BC. EL Hemihekte – Twelfth Stater (8mm, 1.35 g). Head of male left, wearing laurel wreath; to right, tunny downward / Quadripartite incuse square. Cf. Von Fritze I 62 (unlisted denomination); cf. Greenwell 79 (same); cf. Boston MFA 1431 = Warren 1498 (hekte); SNG von Aulock 7283; otherwise unpublished in the standard references. Slightly off center. EF. Extremely rare as a hekte, only the von Aulock piece published in the standard references; two additional in CoinArchives.
