This variety shows a die dot in field under the chin, “whisker” on chin, and 1 is very close to curl. On the reverse, some stars overlap clouds, known as the “Blundered Stars Reverse.” An early die state, the usual die cracks around the obverse are not yet present. On the reverse, there is a tiny die crack on the right side of the stem to the border, up the branch slightly from the stem end. Die cracks are found beneath cloud seven.
