Crowned facing bust of Theophilus, wearing chlamys, holding patriarchal cross and akakia; star at beginning of legend, Θ at end / Crowned facing busts of Michael and Constantine, each wearing chlamys; cross above, pellet between. DOC 3e; Füeg 3.H.1.z; SB 1653. Some luster, minor light scuff on reverse. Near EF. Much of the die engraver’s centering circle is visible and intact on both the obverse and reverse of this well struck coin from a very early die state.
