Divus Romulus. Died AD 309. Æ Follis (25.5mm, 6.60 g, 12h). Rome mint, 1st officina. 6th emission of Maxentius, early AD 311-late 312. Bare head right / Domed shrine with right door ajar; above, eagle standing right, head left; REP. RIC VI 256; Drost 176. Brown patina with some golden and blue iridescence, a couple minor areas of weakness, minor die break on obverse, a few minor deposits on reverse. Good VF.

Purchased by the consignor from Ron Bude, 31 March 2011. Reportedly ex James Coignard Collection, March 2008.
