Antoninus Pius. AD 138-161. AR Denarius (17mm, 3.50 g, 12h). Rome mint. Struck AD 145-147. Laureate head right / Clasped right hands holding caduceus between two stalks of grain. RIC III 136; RSC 344. Lustrous. Choice EF. Much of the die engraver’s centering circle is visible on the reverse of this sharply struck coin from an early die state. Exceptional as such.
