Steatite scarab with falcons and pharaoh’s name in hieroglyphs. Lower Egypt. New Kingdoms Period. Tuthmose III. 18th Dynasty. 1479-1425 BC. (16 mm) A scarab with a central bidirectional piercing for suspension. The back is well engraved, with definition of features such as legs. On the face, a central cartouche of m’n Xpr r’ (Tuthmose III) flanked by two winged falcons. Lightly chipped edges.
