Roman Military Diploma. Early 2nd century AD. (single tablets 100 x 136mm, 259.40 gm). Inscribed to an unknown horseman of cohort II Flavia Brittonum Equitata, serving under the governorship of Q. Pompeius Falco, governor of Britain for Hadrian.

A Roman military diploma was a document inscribed in bronze certifying that the holder was honorably discharged from the Roman armed forces and/or had received the grant of Roman citizenship from the emperor as reward for service.
