The Caesarians. Julius Caesar. Late 48-47 BC. Fourrée Denarius (17mm, 3.27 g, 5h). Military mint traveling with Caesar in North Africa. Diademed head of Venus right / Aeneas advancing left, head facing, holding palladium and Anchises. Cf. Crawford 458/1; cf. CRI 55; cf. Sydenham 1013; cf. RSC 12. Near VF, toned, broken and scratched, revealing copper core.
