Gordian III. AD 238-244. AR Denarius (21mm, 3.48 g, 12h). Rome mint, 4th officina. 7th emission, AD 240. Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / SALVS AVGVSTI, Salus standing right, feeding snake held in arms. RIC IV 129A; RSC 325. Traces of deposits, reverse struck with worn die. Good VF.
