Head of young Dionysos right, wearing ivy wreath / Herakles standing facing, head left, holding club in right hand, lion’s skin draped over left arm. Lukanc VIIIe groupe –; OTA Klasse V/A, 12; Lanz 996 var. (obv. left); KMW –; CCCBM I –. Toned, obverse scuff, wavy flan. EF. Extremely rare variety, struck from an unrecorded die.

This reverse type, with four pellets in annulets, is common during the degraded legend and dots legend issues. However, this obverse type, with two pellets in annulets at her neck was not known to Lukanc. This reverse die was also not known to Lukanc. Both dies are previously unpublished.
