SCARABS. Ancient Egypt, 2nd intermediate period. 1650-1550 BC. Steatite. (18x13 mm). Base engraved with a standing “HORUS” with a falcon - head, the god of the sky and the divine protector of kings. Two “MAAT“ feathers on right, represent MAAT, Goddess of truth and justice. At the bottom “NEB“ basket represents Lord/Master. Once glazed. Some small chips. Pierced for mounting.
