Diademed head of Philip I right / Zeus Nikephoros seated left; monogram to inner left, monogram below throne, X in exergue; all within wreath. McAlee –; SC 2488 var. Oliver Hoover suggests in his 2024 Revue Belge article that this series could have been struck by Philip II Philoromaeus (Barypous) to pay the Roman Republican proconsul of Cilicia, Quintus Marcius Rex, in 67 BC. See pp. 429-31 of his article for discussion.
