Contorniates. Late 4th-5th centuries AD. Æ Contorniate (40mm, 25.13 g, 12h). In the name of Divus Trajan. DIVO TRAIA NO AVGVSTO, laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right; leaf engraved in right field / Apollo standing left, legs crossed, holding [branch tied with fillet] in right, left elbow resting on lyre set on serpent-entwined tripod to right. Alföldi, Kontorniat 381 (dies 129/33). Brown surfaces, minor porosity, some cleaning scratches, holed. Fine. Very rare.
