Contorniates. Late 4th-5th centuries AD. Æ Contorniate (39mm, 25.88 g, 6h). In the name of Nero. NERO CLADIVS (sic) CAESAR AVG GER P M TR P IMP P P, laureate head right; palm frond engraved and crossed out in right field / Emperor on horseback, spearing fallen soldier to lower right, head left, holding shield. Alföldi, Kontorniat 173.12 (dies 54/124; this example). Dark green patina. VF. Rare.
