Laureate and cuirassed bust right, seen from the front, gorgoneion on breastplate / Mên standing right, wearing Phrygian cap and crescent on shoulders, resting right foot on helmet, holding pine cone and long scepter, facing Tyche of Bagis standing left, wearing kalathos, holding cornucopia and rudder. Mên was a prominent Phrygian moon god worshipped in the western interior parts of Anatolia, and later the entire Roman Empire, as a male counterpart to the goddesses Artemis/Diana and Selene/Luna. He is usually depicted wearing a Phrygian cap and a crescent moon behind his shoulders. He presided over lunar months, healing, fertility, and divine justice, frequently acting as a protector of tombs, in which his effigy was often placed near the entrance.
